Welcome to English Learner Education
Listening, speaking, reading, writing....in English!
What we do
The English Learner Education (ELE) program provides instruction to students in grades K-12 whose primary language is not English and who are not yet proficient in English. The program provides support at school, with services focused on children’s English language acquisition, literacy development, and academic achievement.
Ms. Watts teaches EL students in Kindergarten through Grade 3. Students come to the EL classroom for work in small groups, outside of their general classroom, for up to 90 minutes each day. Students are grouped according to their language level. There are often many speakers of different languages in one group. We work on reading, writing, listening, and speaking in English, with focus on academic language.
